Sandy Graham was an amazing woman that worked at Knott’s Berry Farm from the 1990’s to last year. She is best known for being the legendary and iconic Vampire Queen for Halloween Haunt for many years and then as the Fairy Queen for the Labyrinth maze. Sandy brought a sweet sexy sassy appeal to her two iconic creations, you may have even been tickled by her feather on the back of the neck or perhaps knighted as you entered her lair.

Sandy had surgery in 1996 to remove a brain tumor, in 2009 it was discovered that it was back. Surgery was done but sadly her condition got worse and she passed away peacefully this morning.

Sandy the Queen of Haunt….an amazing woman and a great friend will be greatly missed. Somewhere from above this sweet woman is on a purple colored cloud showering glitter down on us. My love, good vibes and support goes out to her family, Haunt family and fans.

Prop 8 Overturned, found Unconstitutional - August 4, 2010

h1 Wednesday, August 4th, 2010

http://www.justpride.com/californaflag.gif

Today August 4, 2010 it was declared that California’s ban on same-sex marriage is unconstitutional. That there is no legitimate state interest justified treating gay and lesbian couples differently from others and that “moral disapproval” was not enough to save the voter-passed Proposition 8.

California “has no interest in differentiating between same-sex and opposite-sex unions,” U.S. District Chief Judge Vaughn R. Walker said in his 136-page ruling.

This is first time in the country to strike down a marriage ban on federal constitutional grounds, previous cases have cited state constitutions.

Appeals are to be expected but this is a great leap. So celebrate today and everyday for being different and remember we all have a voice.

Passive Arts Fire - Tuesday July 27, 2010

h1 Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

By T.J.”Pandora”Teer

At around 11am this Tuesday morning, the fire department was called in to La Cienega Blvd. in regards to a fire in a warehouse.

But this wasn’t just ANY warehouse.

This was the dungeon of Passive Arts. An upscale Adult club that caters to mostly bondage and one of the longest and discreet fetish locations since 1974.

The fire started in the office.

The fire took two lives, one being the owner of the club and the other his dog, Koda.

A person was also sent to the hospital for minor injuries.

The fire inspector said that the fire seemed to be “Suspicious” and that this would be just the beginning for the investigation. An autopsy is to determine the cause of death, but as of now, nothing is set in stone.

For more official information, you can simply “GOOGLE” the rest of the info…honestly the regular news crews are gnashing this like electric hotcakes…

NOW….

IT’S MY TURN.

Passive Arts has been in business since 1974….I knew many of the people that played and worked there personally. I am sad to see death has to bring some people together and sometimes we never really know what we have until it is gone.

Right now, is a time of mourning…and we should be thankful that this did not happen when all the rooms were occupied or at full capacity…this … even though tragic and horrible….believe me, could be a lot worse.

a lot worse.

This is usually the times when the communities start bonding together because there is strength in numbers.

If you happen to go by the building that was/is the shell of Passive Arts? I want you to do me a favor:

If anyone ever really READS my articles? Do this: Go over there and Put a flower in front of the doorway…as a way of support, love and remembrance. I will be dropping some off this Saturday.

I want to see how many people can do this.

If you like this idea, please then pass this article along and I want to see a shit ton of flowers there by the end of the weekend.

Let those that need to know, this was NOT in vain…and you care.

Until Next time, Never forget this….

We in this community are like the island of misfit toys…we choose this family. Because they choose US, too.

Rue McClanahan best known as the sex pot of GOLDEN GIRLS  and who also won an Emmy for playing Blanche Devereaux, passed away from what was termed a massive stroke earlier this morning. She was 76.

Betty White is now the last surviving star of the racy and groundbreaking 1985-1992 TV comedy. Estelle Getty died in 2008; Bea Arthur passed away in 2009.

“People always ask me if I’m like Blanche,” McClanahan said tongue in cheek to the Cape Cod Times in 2007. “Well, Blanche was an oversexed, self-involved, man-crazy, vain Southern belle from Atlanta-and I’m not from Atlanta.”
