By Writer and Photographer Verbatim Girl
This years San Diego Comic Con-Popular arts convention was a tribute to a flurry of fantastic fandemonium.
Every year the costumes get brighter and tighter and this year the buck didn’t stop shy of geek perfection. As a fellow costume connoisseur, I give homage to the plethora of plastic, the trillions of tresses, and the ingenuity and desire to stand out in a crowd.
At Comic-Con that is a difficult task in deed.
Here are some die hard fans and super troopers that braved the crowded isles and painstaking lines embellished in a uncomfortable yet unforgettable outfit, as the wise men say each to their own.

Saturday features the Masquerade so there was a huge abundance of cosplayers and costumes. Some incredible work goes into these costumes. The evil showgirls, Batman Beyond, Bioshock group, Mothra group and Time Warp group featuring Doctor Who characters really stood out! Here are more pics from Saturday. Sunday post will follow soon.

This is the first group of pics from Comic Con 2010. It was crazy and nuts. There are tons of pics still on their way and also a write up in the works. Enjoy the pics and this post is picture heavy. The TRON merchandise is awesome! Daft Punk and tons of cool gear to make us users feel damn lucky to be on the grid, so boot up kids and enjoy the pics.

While on a smaller scale then the San Diego Comic Con this event was put together well. The location spot did suck a bit since it was at the very end of the convention building in Anaheim. I do like the Anaheim Convention Center space, this was a great space for the Disney D 23 Convention and would like to see the Wizard World Comic Con to expand into the large hall. The vendors where varied and there was some cool free stuff to be had as well. A nice amount of people where in costume as well. The panels where located in the same building at the opposite end, which sucked a bit as well. The panels though where actually rather well attended, funny, and insightful.
On Saturday we hit a majority of panels on April 17, here are some highlights:
Superman Panel: Featured lots of Marlon Brando impressions, for awhile the studio wanted a big name as Superman and even considered Robert Redford who declined, they then started looking for supporting roles with a big name and once Brando signed on as a big name and then Gene Hackman signed on as Lex Luthor, how they thought Christopher Reeve was perfect as Clark Kent but was too skinny for Superman, Once Christopher Reeve did get hired on they had no problems with him and he was very personal and would hang out with the crew. Brando and his strange unintelligible requests for green muffins ended the panel.
William Shatner panel: Mother’s breast…it’s just good to know it’s there, the Olympics teleprompter that almost failed, Shit My Father Says coming to CBS plug, Escaping the volcano, Priceline plug, Aftermath Shatner’s plug for his showing coming soon, Invasion Iowa in Riverside and the blessing with a possum penis bone and the pissed of pig lifter after being punked, James Spader and Shatner’s bromance and Shatner’s love of playing pranks on Spader such as Vaseline on drinking glasses, How much fun he had as a villain on Columbo, Tarantula movie and how these choose the actresses to be in the movie by picking up ones from a boxes and also the crew would glue tarantulas to Shatner - “It was like a Tribble Goldilocks was stuck on my face”, final plug for a documentary called Gonzo Ballet.
Batman - The Television Show Reunion panel: Burt Ward aka Robin set the tone by addressing the camp factor of the show and the motto they had on set “Put on your tights, to put on the world”, Random thought by me Burt Ward still sounds like Robin…trippy, Yvonne as Batgirl said it was easy to stay in character since they where both so alike, Lee Merryweather as Catwoman got the part in the movie and the TV show by showing up to the audition and curling up in a chair and licking herself, Adam West as Batman flexed and asked for everyone to admire his physic, George Barris the man responsible for the Batmobile was inspired by the words “POW” & “BANG”, Burt Ward talked about his rescue center for dogs, Adam West plugged his DVD Adam West Naked, racy comments form girls and we get this nugget from Adam West “Lions, tigers, and cougars”, favorite line from Burt Ward “Holy something”, Julie Newmar “Careful everyone one of them has a mother”, Burt Ward trained with Bruce Lee, Yvonne thought her theme song was dumb but she loved her batcycle, prop master had a dod aka day of dent for Yvonne’s bike to her defense they removed the shocks so it would look better, Lee Merryweather is response to a question about being sexy “We where all fast for the day”, Julie on her costume being sexy “they melted black licorice for my costume, actually I took it home and altered it with seams in all the right places to show the curves”, Adam West favorite line “To the Batmobile”, Julie Newmar plugs her book shes working on about fantasies and is seeking submissions - please keep it PG and her site is www.julienewmarwrites.com, Adam West then asked Julie if she got the page he sent and Julie said “I did and it was blank and had wet spots on it, so it had to be from you Adam”, A common question was when will the show hit DVD and Batman is not released yet due to licensing rights, The casts favorite guest stars are Betty White - Talleuhah Bankhead - Sammy Davis Jr., Adam West sang and danced a small bit of the Bat Tootsie for a fan, Lee and Julie loved being femme fatales, a fan then gave reproductions to Burt and Adam of their busts on a small scale.

Plans are already underway for the 41st annual Comic-Con International San Diego, July 22-25 (with Preview Night on July 21), at the San Diego Convention Center. Information on the special guests who have already confirmed for Comic-Con 2010. Also, we’re pleased to offer an advance look at our line-up of hotels, well in advance of the opening of reservations on March 18, 2010. (You can’t reserve now, but you can be better prepared when the time comes by checking out this list.) The online-only Fall edition of Comic-Con Magazine also contains this info, so be sure to check it out.
Comic-Con International experienced capacity crowds in 2009, with all memberships selling out months before the convention began. In 2009 we also added a huge new meeting room at the fabulous Hilton San Diego Bayfront, making even more programs available for attendees.
Comic-Con 2010 has already seen unprecedented interest. Four-day memberships sold out in November — months before last year’s record-breaking March sellout — in part because we limited attendance to Preview Night.

After much teasing the CW will be airing a two hour SMALLVILLE movie event this Friday February 8, 2010 introducing the JSA.This was originally planned to run over the course of two episodes (”Society” and “Legends”) , for the first time ever the Justice Society of America (the group founded before the Justice League) will be brought together. As a bonus both episodes were written by comics writer Geoff Johns. Also to give the movie even more of a kick ass cult movie cool factor Foxy Brown herself, Pam Grier will be playing the the shady Amanda Waller.
