Christopher Lee has received a knighthood in the Queen’s birthday honours list on Saturday 13, 2009. Sir Christopher is best known for his turns as the villain. From James Bond as he played Scaramanga in The Man With the Golden Gun, the evil wizard Saruman in Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings, Count Dooku in the Star Wars prequels and Lord Summerisle in Hardy’s iconic Wicker Man. He is best known for his Hammer films especially as Dracula which broke the mold of showing blood in all it’s red glory. Be on the lookout for Sir Christopher to pop up in Tim Burton’s version of Alice in Wonderland as the Jabberwocky.
