Doctor Peter Vincent!!!

h1 Wednesday, June 9th, 2010

I shit you not!!! David Tennant will be the new Peter Vincent in the “Fright Night” remake! I don’t know what to make of it.  Loved Roddy McDowall in the original.  Love David Tennant for many other reasons.  Hmmm…I just never pictured him for the role though.  Well, if the movie sucks, at least I have something to look at.

Doctor Poo out!

Doctor Who and Red Mist join ‘Fright Night’ (exclusive)

David Tennant, best known for starring in the BBC series “Doctor Who,” and Christopher Mintz-Plasse are joining the cast of “Fright Night,” DreamWorks’ remake of the cult 1985 film.

Tennant and Mintz-Plasse join Anton Yelchin as Charlie, a teen convinced that his new neighbor (Colin Farrell) is a vampire. Toni Collette is the teen’s disbelieving mom, who falls under the vampire’s spell.

Tennant will play Peter Vincent, a character who in the original movie was played by Roddy McDowall as the host of a late-night horror show. In the remake, he’s a Las Vegas magician whose show revolves around horror-movie imagery. Vincent claims to be a vampire expert, but when the teen turns to him for assistance, he’s less than helpful.

Mintz-Plasse is playing Evil Ed, Yelchin’s friend who feels slighted that Charlie has left his nerdy past behind and thus joins the vampire’s coven.

The movie marks the first real foray into America for Tennant. He starred in the NBC pilot “Rex Is Not Your Lawyer,” but it did not get picked up. He is repped by UTA and Independent Talent Group.

UTA-repped Mintz-Plasse, meanwhile, is continuing to show that there is life after McLovin, the character he played in his acting debut in “Superbad.” He recently was onscreen as the Red Mist in “Kick-Ass.”

Michael De Luca and Alison R. Rosenzweig are producing “Fright,” which Craig Gillespie is directing. Lloyd Ivan Miller, Michael Gaeta and Josh Bratman are exec producing.

The movie will be released through Disney.

Doctor Who: The Waters of Mars PREVIEW

h1 Thursday, July 9th, 2009

Okay, this clip gave me the creeps!!!  I can’t wait!  The next Doctor Who special is not scheduled to be aired until November 2009.  So here is a new clip to keep all us Whovians satisfied until turkey month.

Doctor Who: The Waters of Mars preview

David Tennant returns as The Doctor in The Waters Of Mars, the second of four Doctor Who specials being screened on BBC One this year. He is joined by his cleverest and most strong-minded companion yet, Adelaide, played by acclaimed British actress Lindsay Duncan.

Adelaide is head of the Mars Base and doesn’t take kindly to an uninvited appearance by The Doctor. Peter O’Brien, star of Neighbours, Flying Doctors and Casualty, also guest stars as Ed, Adelaide’s second in command.

The Waters Of Mars is written by Russell T Davies and Phil Ford and is directed by Graeme Harper. SOURCE
